From the beginning of the story, the colt of the Italian stallion wins the title of world champion. Happiness does not come alone, since it will get married and become a father. It is at this moment that a man from his family history demands a fight. This is Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan, who killed in the ring, his father Apollo, more than 30 years ago. Despite rigorous training and Rocky’s advice, Adonis has everything to lose, unlike his Russian counterpart.
Committed to defending women’s rights
At the Women’s March in Washington on January 21, 2017, the actor used his Instagram account, attended by nearly 9 million people, to defend the women’s cause. He notably published an image of three fists of woman, raised to the sky. : “It is very inspiring to see all women around the world support each other and walk together. Your voices and your forces must continue to raise mountains. We will continue to fight for these rights together. ”
It will be the 8th film surrounding the famous character of Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa, and if we had the taste we are shown. It will be once again successful. By bringing back the most legendary fight in the series, it would be difficult to miss.
The film will be released on November 21st. Who do you think wins? Creed or Draco? One would be inclined to say Creed without hesitation, but one does not seem to see him training in a Siberian temperature like Rocky.
An admirable trio of actors
Not having a scenario as solid as the previous feature film, fans of the fourth album, dating from 1985, will be delighted to see multiple references. Unfortunately, the script stretches unnecessarily midway. This does not preclude savoring the final rhythmic duel of the original musical theme (the fanfare heard in 1970s production). The dramatic elements do not stop only at the main protagonist. We see the other side of the family of Ivan, following the defeat of the boxer, three decades ago.
More than just a namesake of the famous Chicago Bulls basketball player. Michael Jordan, the actor has made a name for himself in American cinema. After starring Erik Killmonger, Black Panther’s charismatic enemy in the blockbuster of the same name in 2018. The sculptural actor returns to Creed II, Creed’s direct sequel: the legacy of Rocky Balboa (2015). He puts on the gloves of Adonis Creed – son of boxer Apollo Creed – trained by Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) himself. In this new production, the young fighter turned world champion confronts Viktor Drago, offspring of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), the man who killed his father.
Beginnings in modeling
Before his surname was bankable, Michael B. Jordan began modeling, like many actors on the Hollywood scene (Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell, Channing Tatum …). The young Michael Bakari Jordan is the daughter of the Toy “R” Us toy brand and the Kmart and Modell’s clothing and sports labels. He continues the castings before landing his first role at the age of 12 in the series. televised Cosby Show in 1999.
Later, the young actor becomes king of the crime series: several appearances in FBI: Missing Widespread, Cold Case: classified cases or even the Experts. But it was with the comedy drama The Parenthood, inspired by the film of the same name, that he landed his first recurring role, before intervening as a guest in the series Dr House in 2012.
Living with … his parents
His mother is a guidance counselor in high school, his father caterer. The family’s younger brother, Michael B. Jordan, was still living with his parents at Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles) last year. This caught the attention of American TV host Ellen DeGeneres. Guest on the set of his show on February 6, 2018, the actor spoke about this cohabitation – sometimes embarrassing – especially in case “return to the kitchen in the middle of the night when naked …” .. .
A regular of superhero roles
In the remake of the Fantastic Four (2015), Michael B. Jordan play the role of Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), a choice of director Josh Trank. Who had elicited many racist comments at the time since, in the comic strip Origin, the character is white. Chris Evans, current Captain America Marvel franchises, had also embodied in 2005. A controversy to which Stan Lee, disappeared last November, had responded kindly in an interview with Entertainment Weekly: “I think they will adore this character. I’m really not worry about that. Creed II fits the mold of every Rocky sequel-competent, entertaining, and a little passionless
Ryan Coogler, having gone on to bigger and bigger things, steps aside and lets relative newcomer Steven Caple, Jr. do the job of mixing the beats of Rocky III and Rocky IV into a smooth groove for the son of Apollo Creed (Michael B. Jordan).
The film simmers before it explodes, and it often, it maintains the slow burn for a moment too long in the quieter moments between family members. But when Caple really lets “Creed II” run wild, it’s breathtaking.

[Steven] Caple knows what a Rocky fan expects. The scripted violence inside the ring is still exciting even after we think we’ve seen it all before
